Our client have 14 services in Southampton and they pride themselves on delivering high quality support to adults with learning disabilities, Huntington’s disease, Acquired Brain Injury, communication difficulties and additional complex needs.

They have a number of new posts available for a Day Support Worker in Eastleigh, Portswood, Hedge End and Botley There are permanent posts for 37.5 hours per week and Bank posts are also available.

This post holder will be asked to assist people with a learning disability within a housing setting to lead fulfilling lives via the provision of support, assistance and personal care and some of the other duties will include:

• Ensure that the people who use their services receive appropriate care and support
• Complete required documentation relating to the people they support
• Effectively communicate with parents and other third parties
• Ensure that people are supported in accordance with their care support plans

The right candidate will be:

• Compassionate, caring and will have passion for supporting vulnerable adults
• Willing to learn the regulatory framework
• Have their own transport to get to the service
• Willingness to work towards NVQ / HSCD Level 2 or will be qualified
• Willing to work a range of shifts, including weekends
• Able to communicate at all levels and will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral

£26,000 per year + Weekend Enhancements, Training, Pension, Career Progression and other benefits are provided.
