Job Title: Support Worker
Responsible to: Manager/Deputy/Assistant
Duties of a Support Worker
Supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/ or behaviours that challenge to live their best lives.
1. To provide an individually tailored support service that enables the people we support to live their lives in their community as independently as possible by providing them with physical, practical, social and emotional support to meet their assessed needs.
2. To provide care and support, as necessary, always ensuring the maximum respect for the individual’s rights and personal dignity.
3. To ensure that the policies and procedures of Fountain Care Ltd and Loving Care Ltd are carried out effectively and sensitively.
4. To ensure that at all times the service meets the standards and values as laid down by Skills for Care, other relevant legal, regulatory and government policies and Fountain Care Ltd.’s and Loving Care Ltd.’s own Code of Conduct, Aims and Objectives and Values.
The role is 36 hours per week. Shifts are 12 hours long from 8am-8pm/ 8pm-8am and are on a rota which can include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays and sleep in’s.
Qualities and Qualifications of a Support Worker:
* Experience in social care with the learning disability field is preferred but not essential.
* A manual driving licence is essential for this role with at least 2 years driving experience and a valid licence.
* All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, satisfactory references and a medical clearance.
* A good level of English speaking and writing is required and basic maths.
* Due to Covid-19 all staff will be required to wear a mask when in contact with our service users. If you have been exempt from wearing a mask we cannot shortlist you for an interview.

About Us: Loving Care Ltd are a small family run company with only four residential care homes in Greater London. Our team support our service users who have a range of different learning disabilities. Our residents lead full and activate lives in their local communities. Our largest home only has 8 residents and our staff spend their working day enabling them to undertake a whole variety of activities in our homes and in the local community.
Due to the high level of applications we receive we cannot contact everyone who do not meet the requirements.
