Support Worker

Are you an experienced Mental Health Support Worker with a Level 3 Health and Social Care/ Mental Health or equivalent qualification in Health Related course?

If so, an exciting position has recently arisen with our client in North West London to support their service users particularly those who experience Mental Health Issues.

The ideal candidate for the position of Mental Health Support Worker will have previous experience support vulnerable services users with issues including but not limited to: Mental Health, drug and alcohol, housing related issues AND Learning Disabilities.

As a Mental Health Support Workers you will enable people with Mental Health needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community.

You must have completed a NVQ Level 3 in Health Social Care or equivalent health related qualification
Additional Mental Health Qualification will be an advantage.
Must have experience of assisting service users to achieve Support Plan goals
Must have financial awareness
Housing and tenancy support knowledge is essentialKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER

Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan
Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of ‘positive risk taking’
Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed, to ensure that customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.Due to the volume of application we receive, we will only contact applicants who meets the above requirements.
