Supply Chain / Purchasing Assistant

The Company:
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain/Purchasing Assistant is sought to work for an established and dynamic (FMCG) organisation during a very exciting period of growth. The company supply a wide of products and are looking to recruit someone who will work across the various internal departments, ultimately responsible for inputting orders and producing all purchase orders for the Buying Team. Excellent opportunity to be a pivotal part of the business.

The Role:
Inputting orders onto Navision accurately.
Producing a purchase order for all orders.
Contacting suppliers to resolve any issues and ensure that pro-forma invoice is received.
Liaising with Buyers and other department to ensure smooth running of ordering process.
Ensuring any problems that arise within the process are resolved so as to avoid any delays in progressing to live order.
Dealing with all internal and external customer enquiries for example ship marks and price queries.
Follow safe working practice guidelines and to keep own area of work clean and tidy.
Carry out any other duties as required.

Skills Required:
Experience working with suppliers in the Far East.
Confident telephone manner.
Proven experience of working in a similar role within a fast moving FMCG environment.
Reacts calmly to working under pressure.
A logical problem solver.
Organises work well – able to prioritise and adapt workloads
Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Enthusiasm and determination combined with a pragmatic approach to work.
An excellent communicator with good levels of English both written and spoken.
Resilient, can-do attitude.
Experience in the toy industry.
Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese is ideal but not essential.
Good working knowledge of Navision or similar system.
Experienced at influencing at all levels in an organisation.
