Supply Chain Manager

Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this global pharmaceutical wholesaler in the appointment of a Supply Chain Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to progress quickly to Head of Supply Chain due to aggressive growth plans.

Position Summary:

The Team Manager will report to the Head of Supply Chain. Accountable for the Supply Chain team achieving performance targets focused on inventory reduction, improved order to delivery results and reduction in ageing stock losses alongside maximising process efficiency, productivity and cost saving opportunities.

A people manager first and foremost, the Team Manager will take responsibility for empowering, motivating, training and supporting the department. Building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders to increase supply visibility and driving supply performance improvements.

The Team Manager will maintain departmental compliance with supply chain strategy and regulation requirements.

The Team Manager will oversee a close working relationship between the supply chain team and internal stakeholders ensuring our client is kept ahead of the competition and proactively ensure continuity of supply.

Experience, skills and knowledge requirements:

• The ability to manage, motivate and lead a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels of the business.
• Strong people performance management with proven track record.
• Supply Planning and forecasting process knowledge.
• Good understanding of Inventory drivers.
• Proven track record in delivering cost savings and service enhancements through effective collaboration.
• Flexibility to adapt with changing circumstances, adaptable and possess strong problem-solving skills.
• A relevant qualification i.e. CIPS or working towards a qualification.
• Strong commercial skills and highly developed analytical skills.
• Data orientated, ideally from a FMCG background, ideally with experience of perishable goods.
• Accurate and numerate, with great attention to detail to be able to challenge and spot errors.
• Systems orientated, with experience of SAP essential.

This is a hybrid role with 2/3 days expected at HQ a week
