Supply Chain / Credit Control Assistant

Job Description-
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Credit Control Assistant to join our dynamic and fast paced Finance Team. This is a key role within site manufacturing team ensuring effective implementation of the Pre-requisite Procedures.
You will be responsible for

1.Working with other members of finance/ accounts team to maintain an accurate and effective credit control system to ensure efficient cash flow.
2. Resolution of all identified queries to Pro-actively reduce all overdue debt
3. Responsible for collecting outstanding invoices by phone, e-mail and letter
4. Responsible for purchase order process, posting payments on the system
5. Overseeing invoices
6. Pro- Actively handing customer query calls, emails and faxes
7. Liaising with customers for their orders via emails, faxes
8. Inputting customer orders in the system and handling delivery notes
9. Responsible for daily invoicing and statements

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES-

1. Good telephone manner and business communication skills
2. Good numeracy skills
3. Good interpersonal skills
4. Data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
5. Previous use of an accounting software packages ideally AS400 or similar
6. Attention to detail
7. Accountancy background is preferred but not essential
