Contract type: Part-Time (22.5 hours per week – flexible on how this is worked), Permanent
Location: Liverpool John Moores University International Study Centre
Salary: £13,375.03 per annum (full time equivalent £22,291.72)

The Student Experience Officer will play a vital role in the running of LJMU International Study Centre (LJMU ISC). The successful candidate will work closely with the academic team, management, and students as part of the ISC’s Student Experience Team (SET). This role is ideal for an organised person with strong communication skills, who can successfully support the needs of students and staff alike. The environment is fast-paced and changeable, therefore a resilient and flexible approach to working is required. A growth mindset will also be advantageous to develop within the role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Coordinate all aspects of summative assessment, including timetables, paper orders, and secure storage.
- Prepare seating plans and assessment packs.
- Assist with special mitigation applications and refer disclosures to welfare.
- Produce data spreadsheets for assessment boards and provide results to LJMU.
- Liaise with the academic team on progression-related matters.
- Use the matrix to guide students on degree choices.
- Provide student details upon request and support students on retention matters.
- Contact students for relevant progression information, e.g., IELTS results.
- Provide student-facing advice and support at the ISC reception desk.
- Offer general administration support and cover duties for absent staff.
- Maintain process guides, update information on systems, and support student induction.
- Promote student welfare and compliance with UKVI and GDPR requirements.
- Foster relationships with students and staff, assist with social activities and attend events as required.
ABOUT YOU
- Level 3 qualification (Desirable)
- Experience of working in administration (Essential)
- Experience of working with staff and students in an international education environment (Desirable).
