What we want:
We are looking for a Coring Technician / Operative to join our Structures team in Chesterfield.
As this is an entry level position very little experience is required, we just need you to have an enthusiastic, motivated work ethic and a willingness to learn as we train you on the job.
What is a Coring Technician?
As a coring Technician you will be trained to use a diamond drill to core out bituminous or concrete samples to take away for analysis.
You will be required to travel to multiple locations within the working day and work away from time to time as projects dictate, but of course, allowances are paid for this.
As an integral member of the team, we will give you the opportunity to earn as you learn. We will support you with obtaining a NRSWA (New Road and Street Works Act) accreditation and teach you how to carry out works in accordance with the current SROH/CS229 guidelines.
Skills & Abilities:
Full clean driving licence
Current CSCS card
Manual handling required for works
Nationwide working including ability to work away for periods essential – availability to work either day or night and weekends where required
Must work well as part of a team and have ability to work alone
Salary: £26,000per year.00 p/a – with the ability to increase every 6 months through our transparent pay banding structure.
