About the role
As a Senior Technician – Structural, you are expected to have a strong track record in one or, preferably, multiple sectors that operates in. You will ideally be a professionally qualified Technician with experience of generating high quality, accurate and detailed design packages.
You’ll understand the latest industry standard software and information management techniques to work as part of an enthusiastic and committed team of Engineers and Technicians, delivering high quality output on projects.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Be responsible for the production of fully co-ordinated discipline specific 3D models, generalarrangement and detailed drawings in accordance with the relevant standards and procedures.
* Ensure quality of delivery when producing or updating CAD drawings to internal and/or customer standards.
* Ensure thorough checking and accuracy of your own work and the work of developing members of the team under their supervision, in line with company QA procedures.
* Assist with discipline specific clash avoidance using clash detection where appropriate.
* Production of model outputs, such as drawings and schedules etc.
* Review specialist subcontractor’s / supplier’s production drawings for technical compliance with design intent.
* Input to the review specialist subcontractor’s / supplier’s production drawings and models for
technical compliance with design intent.
Knowledge, Experience
Essential
* Good level of proficiency in the use of Autodesk 2D and 3D software including a proficientknowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks as a minimum.
* Good level of proficiency in the use of CADS RC with the ability to produce and check bar bending schedules for reinforced concrete elements.
* Possess a working knowledge of BIM Level 2, current BIM legislation, and how to implement within projects.
Desirable
* Working knowledge of one or more of the following softwareo Microstationo Civil 3D
* Security clearance obtained.
