Street Scene Enforcement Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Street Scene Enforcement Officer to work for a Local Authority based in Sutton.

Overall Purpose of job

To enhance the Street Scene in Sutton by being responsible for investigating and enforcing relevant provisions of the Environmental Protection Act, Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act, London Local Authorities Act, Anti Social Behaviour Act, Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act and any other similar acts, legislation and byelaws in respect of fly tipping, litter, waste, graffiti, dog fouling etc. Where appropriately trained, to take responsibility for specified activities and act as an authorised officer in respect of these functions.

A working experience of using enforcement procedures including collecting evidence, taking statements, issuing cautions, obtaining and executing warrants, writing infringement reports, carrying out PACE interviews, issuing notices and taking legal proceedings.

This is on a contract basis with the view to be extended based upon performance.
