Stores Assistant –

Our Client is a medium sized manufacturing company based in Maidenhead and they are looking to recruit a stores person for the busy manufacturing department.

The main objectives for the role are:

To handle movement of goods into and out of the company.
To pick goods from stores against sales and works orders.
To maintain the stores in an organised and tidy condition at all times.

Duties will include:

1. Maintain good management and housekeeping throughout the stores and dispatch areas.
2. To ensure components are properly stored in the correct location.
3. Pick goods from stores for dispatch on receipt of paperwork from the sales office.
4. Securely package and label all outgoing goods
5. Receive incoming goods, raise appropriate paperwork (e.g. GRN) and direct to correct internal destination.
6. Visual inspections of goods to be carried out where necessary.
7. Full inspection of incoming wire according to the procedure in MQCM.
8. Pick items from stores for manufacturing and update stock movements on Sage in accordance with the company procedures
9. Book in customer returns on the register and direct to the appropriate area.
10. Provide assistance to manufacturing where required.
11. Undertake delivery and collection of items as required which will require driving company vehicles.
12. To achieve a good understanding of the quality system where ever it affects the work to be carried out.

The ideal candidate will have worked in a store environment within a manufacturing company, but we will consider a person that has excellent store experience from another background.
