Stores Person

Recruitment Solutions Wales are looking for an experienced Stores person for a Manufacturing Company based in the Bridgend area.
– On receipt of all materials to check dimensions and composition against purchase orders, recording findings as required.
– Ensure that materials are stored and handled to prevent damage.
– Ensure that all material issues/movements are recorded in FM and that batch control is properly carried out.
– Maintain stock accuracy and carry out stock takes.
– Operate machinery and equipment safely and as per training received.
– Minimise waste at every opportunity.
– Enhance efficiency at every opportunity through good communication, flexibility and effort.
– When packing finished goods, ensure suitability for transport within the factory, or externally.
– Follow packing/customer specific instructions fully
– Issue materials to manufacturing and remove completed goods from manufacturing areas in a timely manner.
– The Company’s identification labels to be applied to WIP materials, stock materials, and every item for dispatch, except where otherwise stated.
– A duty to report all inaccurate work or procedural instructions or material requirements to the Production Manager.
– A duty to record all internal non-conformance.
– Daily housekeeping in compliance with WPO.
– Duty to report machine or equipment failure to Production Manager.
– To comply with quality and environmental management systems (ISO9001 & 14001).
– Engage with all colleagues in a helpful and professional manner, respecting equality.
– Participate in Lean & Green improvement projects and activities.
– Actively work towards fulfilling your part within the company strategy as deployed.
