Steelwork Designer

Salary: £60,000 per year

Excellent opportunity for a Steelwork Designer to join a successful and growing steelwork engineering business based in West Midlands. They design, manufacture and erect, primarily SFS and LGSF steel structures – making a wide variety of buildings and applications. On offer is an excellent salary / package with very good career prospects. Salary to £60,000but entirely D.O.E.

Steelwork Designer  Duties include:

• Design of various steel structures (buildings), mainly of SFS/LGSF construction.

• Production of structural engineering calculations (wind loads etc)

 Occasional secondary hot rolled steelwork design/connections.

Steelwork Designer requirements:

• Professionally qualified Engineer (Chartered or non-chartered welcome)

• Experience designing structural steel such as steel framed buildings is highly advantageous. LGSF/SFS is particularly desirable but not essential as full training will be given on the company design process.

• Have experience using Design software (specific software training is provided)
