Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving Technology business that helps their customers deliver the best in Digital Transformation. Representing key enterprise vendors, they have a comprehensive portfolio from Core to Edge to Cloud. They specialise in helping their partners assess existing environments & applications, design new modern platforms and provide flexible options.
This role is a customer facing consultant role which requires extensive IT channel experience, knowledge across different infrastructure technologies/vendors, a strong understanding on how to deliver demos, environment assessments, POCs. This person would be the top-level technical resource and capable of supporting partners in the most complex projects which now span across on-prem/cloud/hybrid/capex/opex. The candidate would also need to be capable of delivering training to partners and knowledge transfer into the business.
The Solutions Architect is responsible for the following:
- The Solutions Architect would provide expert consultation across the Hybrid IT portfolio to reseller partners and their customers.
- Becoming the vendor ambassador & trusted advisor to partners whilst working closely with internal sales & product teams.
- Hold and maintain top level vendor technical certifications
- Arrange and conduct environment assessments to discover customers’ existing IT estate.
- Develop and maintain excellent vendor & reseller partner relationships.
- Offer knowledge transfer and training for internal team members and reseller partners.
- Interpreting customer specifications, strategic direction, technology context, and business needs.
- Commercial proposition integration and business case alignment of Hybrid IT solutions supporting client business, applications and/or information technology environment.
- Influence partner & customer evaluation criteria and decision making.
- Maintains knowledge of competitors to strategically position the company’s products and services better.
- Work closely with sales & business development teams, reporting activity back to management and contributing to business strategy where possible.
- Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, up to and including the C-level for mid-to-large accounts, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
Education and Experience Required by a Solutions Architect
- Demonstrate completion of complex technical consultation.
- Extensive technical experience within enterprise technology products and solutions.
- Previous experience of working in, or with, the Channel Partner community
- Project management skills required to drive own projects and side-projects in support of overall business objectives
- As a Solution Architect you will be focussing on technologies like Dell, HPE, Lenovo
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise infrastructure solutions and service offerings
- Knowledge of public/private cloud platforms and the role they play in hybrid solutions.
- Identifying key technical decision makers and lead architects to enable comprehensive engagement into an account.
- Collaborates with management and sales teams in shared accounts to ensure seamless integration of Presales knowledge and influence.
- Develop innovative ideas on technology and solutions that support growing the business at a faster pace.
- Demonstrates high service or product knowledge and professionalism in researching and sharing service-related information with account teams and customers.
