Software Tester

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Software Tester to join the team of a well established software company based in Swindon. The candidate must be able to create, develop and maintain automated testing environments.

This is a permanent, fulltime position. The candidate will be expected to be in the office 5 days a week. With an immediate start. Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Hours: 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday

Salary Range: £25,000 – £35,000

The Key Responsibilities are:

• Automated testing

• Estimate timescales for tasks and projects

• Attend occasional internal meetings to plan developments

• Suggest and implement automated testing software and practices as part of a new development

• Take ownership of product/s and ensure a high level of quality from start to finish

• Work closely with the QA and development departments to drive through professionalism and quality

 The Key Requirements are:

• Has passed the Software Tester L4 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification/experience 

• Has a good understanding of what testing practices are and some of the industry standards

• Self-starter, personable, outgoing and a team player

• Quality driven
