An opportunity for a Software Engineer with experience of electrical control systems has become available with a leading Controls & Automation organisation in Staffordshire.
The successful Software Engineer will join an established team working on technical automation and control solutions used across the power and utilities sectors, for a global customer base.
You will need to have experience in high level languages such as C#, C++, Java and VB, and will be responsible for full lifecycle development including specification, design and development, testing and commissioning.
Software Engineer – Skills Required:
Experienced coder in any of the following C++, C#, Java, VB
Has a good understanding of SCADA, HMIs and control systems
Good knowledge of databases
Ability to learn how to configure & navigate new products
The ability to research new ideas and products to identify suitability for a solution
Can communicate confidently and effectively with colleagues and customers
Desired Skills:
Electrical Engineering knowledge
Ideally GE equipment knowledge or Copa-data Zenon SCADA
Ideally worked with substation control system
Current driving licence
This role will suit a Software Engineer with a proven background in writing software for control and automation projects, with good electrical engineering skills such as SCADA and HMI programming.
