Senior Software Engineer (C++ Real-Time, Medical Devices)
Remote / Oxford
£45k – £70k plus benefits
Our client is a growing young company with world leading technology for developing a new generation of medical devices for minimally invasive cancer treatment whilst providing on-screen feedback to surgeons in real time.
They have a requirement for a Senior Software Engineer with experience in software development, testing, lifecycle management, some Team Leadership, working in a flexible, hands-on, small-team environment.
Medical Devices industry experience is advantageous, but what is required is a structured approach, familiarity with a highly regulated environment, an interest in the end product and the ability to deliver validated and documented software projects.
Responsibilities
- Software design and development, Module design, technical leadership and code review
- Unit and integration testing, test cases and plans and regulatory testing
- ALM and CI
- Hands on testing in an ultrasound lab using electronics equipment
- Documentation required for regulatory submission to a notified body
Skills & Experience
- Software designs in C, C++ and Python
- Qt framework
- CUDA/GPU programming
- Numerical library (Intel MKL, LAPACK++, Eigen, etc)
- Multithreaded programming
- Debugging and profiling tools
- Validate and verify software with unit and integration / regression testing
- Tools such as JIRA, Crucible, FishEye, Confluence, Jenkins and Intel Inspector.
- Scrum/Agile development framework
- Flexible, self-starter, small company, multi-disciplinary team.
- Manage a wide range of projects and excellent organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience software development in industry
- Writing software to validated standards
