Software Developer (.NET, C#) – Hertfordshire / South of Cambridge
Our client is a world leader in Data Management is seeking an Experienced Software Developer (.NET, C#).
Overall Purpose Of The Job:
To undertake the analysis, definition, design, development, testing, implementation, modification and on-going support and maintenance of applications and systems to meet agreed business needs as determined by the ISD Work Plan and in accordance with the IS and IT Strategies and Architecture.
Main Duties:
Systems Development
• To undertake the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of new applications and systems, to meet business needs.
• Provide estimates for pieces of development work to enable decisions to be made for cost benefit analysis.
• To undertake effective handover to support teams for systems deployed to live environment.
• Roles within this job description include:
o architectural development
o systems analysis
o systems design
o programming
o testing
o data administration
o database administration
Essential skills are: C#,.NET 4, and Entity Framework using Agile methodologies, design patterns such as MVVM / MVC; ESRI and cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure). Experience of the following would be an advantage, but not essential: SQL Server; TFS, GIS products, SharePoint
