Our client is the UK’s leading operator of purpose built student accommodation. They are now on the lookout for a Social Media Communications Manager to join their team.

This is the ideal role for a high calibre communications professional with fantastic social media knowledge looking to undertaking a high profile, varied and challenging role within a growing company. Joining an environment where no two days are the same, the successful candidate will play a key role in the development of our client’s digital activities.

As the Social Media Communications Manager, you will be responsible for driving forward the delivery of our client’s social media strategy to increase engagement with student customers.

Working closely with the Brand and Digital Teams, you’ll develop and implement social media campaigns, encourage adoption and continue to build our client’s brand presence in the social networking domain.

You’ll develop plans to swiftly extend the reach of the company’s social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and focus on delivering rich content, video and further digital media.

Additionally, you’ll support the employee engagement agenda by embedding digital channels, exploring competitor activity, reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns and delivering key insight.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

– Experience gained within a senior communications role
– Experience of developing engaging content strategies across a variety of social platforms
– Community management experience
– Social media expertise
– An understanding of the youth market and student needs and wants

As the Social Media Communications Manager, you must possess fantastic communication skills, a results-driven approach and the ability to work on your own initiative. Accurate and proactive, you must also have a strong customer focus and the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
