Social Capital Leader

The Education Network is working in Partnership with an academy based in Bolton to find a Social Capital Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will encompass:-

To work with students to empower them to make decisions in order to realise their full potential

Working with a selected group of students to establish and develop effective supportive relationships with them during their academy life as well as:

Assist in the identification of early signs of disengagement and contribute to specific interventions to encourage re-engagement with the curriculum and academy life.
Monitor attendance and punctuality, and put strategies into place when necessary to tackle low attendance/internal and external truancy
Meet and greet students every morning
Dismiss all students at the end of the day
Monitor behaviour, and put strategies into place when necessary
Monitor/identify students with low self esteem and or motiviation, students with family and academy issues which impact on academy life
To plan, lead and organise in ARD and other parent evenings
Monitor literacy and reading ages along with developing strategies to support students
Work with all students across the Academy using relevant strategies to support and enhance sustainable learning and to develop them as an individual eg:

o Inner Meaning
o Feeling of challenge
o Awareness of self change
o Self regulation
o Feeling of competence
o Goal directed behaviour
o Self development
o Sharing behaviour

To provide effective support and management in order to build and maintain an effective Pod Team which continually enhances student progress and development.
