Our client, a leading waste management operator, is looking to recruit a Site Business Manager to take responsibility for managing a busy landfill site located in the East of England.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, manage and control the site’s operations to achieve agreed revenue and profit targets, through efficient operating practices and excellent customer service.

* Progress and build upon defined standards of operation, health & safety and environmental compliance – ahead of statutory requirements.

* To ensure the site manages and organizes the efficient and safe handling of waste material, the adoption of best practice principles and the control of operational costs within/below budget.

* Enable landfill gas and leachate to be extracted efficiently to maximise environmental compliance.

* Manage engineering team in the development of the site

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a similar role

* Good knowledge of health & safety and environmental permitting regulations.

* Relevant CoTC or equivalent.

* Strong reputation for consistent delivery of projects on time and to budget within a demanding environment.

* Well-developed management skills and a track record of delivering to targets.

* Accustomed to preparing and working to budgets.

* Proven ability as a line manager; able to recruit, develop, motivate and control operations and technical staff.
