Title: Setting-Out Engineer
Location: South West London
Rate: £264 – £276 per shift
We have an urgent requirement for a Setting-out Engineer on behalf of a Civil Engineering and Highways contractor.
The role will be based in South West London and will initially be providing holiday cover for 1 month, there may be an opportunity for continuous work depending on the performance of the candidate.
The works involved will be a wide range of heavy & minor civils, highway maintenance, bridges and structures.

As the Site Engineer, your key duties and responsibilities will be:-
* Undertake Surveying and setting out duties.
* Check drawings and quantities.
* Schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement department.
* Liaise with any consultants and sub-contracts engaged in the project as necessary.
* Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
* Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used.
* Keep a Site Diary.
* Other duties as required by the Site Manager to facilitate construction of the works.
