Tesco Maintenance have rapidly become one of the leading retail maintenance service providers in the UK. Today, they support over 3000 Tesco stores and 30 head office sites, across the UK. Position: Service Technician – Data Centres
Location: Letchworth
Salary: Up to £42,000

The Role:
The Service Technician will deliver quality and reliable service to their customers and colleagues using the operating model in order to minimise equipment breakdown and impact on trading. You will ensure their customer is communicated to with all the relevant information in a timely manner, and pride yourself on delivering excellent customer service.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance, and respond to reactive maintenance.

You will understand the equipment and how it works within the critical electrical, cooling, monitoring and safety systems within the data centre. Able to fault find, understand the impact on the system and explain the risk to service posed. 

You will have a weekly completion of 100% of allocated Planned Preventative Maintenance, achieve all service level agreements for reactive tasks, and have no outstanding reactive works orders over 7 days old and the work you complete consistently receives a green rating from their manager. 

You will complete and return Fgas documents on time every week as well as any legal or otherwise required documentation, and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and best practice as advised by the company processes and procedures, in conjunction with Tesco colleagues.

About You:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience maintaining or as a third party contractor within a data centre or other critical services environment. You will have previous maintenance experience, and proven technical qualifications or experience. 

You can act quickly, making decisions based on what is right for colleagues and customers, and talk to your colleagues, sharing knowledge, experience and best practice. You will also have energy and drive to deliver beyond expectation.

You will have formal electrical qualifications and have experience of the following, Maintenance of Data Centres or critical services sites, UPS`s, Generators, Electrical distribution, Electrical switchgear, Chillers, CRAC Units, Chillers, Chilled water systems, DX Cooling, BMS`s, etc.
