Service Manager – Domestic Violence

Salary: £19.38 – £20.71 per hour

LOCATION: Brighton 

SALARY: £19.38 – £20.71 Umbrella Rate

DURATION: Permanent or Temp to perm

HOURS: 18hrs per week (Wed-Fri)

Day-to-day duties will include:

• Manage a team of 6 at a refuge safe house
• Conduct interviews and selections, supervisions and development activities, allocation of caseloads, and implementing HR procedures where necessary
• Monitoring of departmental and service specific KPIs relating to the outcome of the support and housing management services provided
• Promote the service through marketing activities and networking, working closely with key agencies and local organisations.
• Coordinate the development of links with local and national domestic abuse support agencies, third part support organisations, and statutory teams such as Safeguarding, Housing, Police and Health Services
• Ensure that referrals to the service are swiftly and fully assessed as to their suitability and safety and that all new residents are fully inducted including advice regarding maximising their income and benefit advice
• Supervise the monitoring of voids and rent arrears
• To be the Safeguarding Champion for the service advising and overseeing complex caseloads where safeguarding has been highlighted as a concern
• Oversee the health and safety and repairs aspect of the refuge building, ensuring that the team conduct regular health and safety and compliance checks of their working environment and that of their allocated residents. Ensuring that any issues are promptly reported
• Partake in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) 
• Participate in an on-call rota, including day/evening/weekend and bank holiday cover, on a rota basis when needed. to ensure that back up support, advice and when necessary, a physical presence is available 24 hours a day, and occasionally work at other services at times when it is considered essential to do so.

Essentials:

• DBS within the last 12 months
• Previous experience management experience
