Service Manager

Our client provides support for adults living with a primary learning disability diagnosis; some of whom have mental illness’s and behaviours that can challenge.
They offer a Person Centred approach, supporting people in their transition to more independent living. They have the facilities to provide support for 9 individuals and the level of support provided is completely dependent on individuals’ needs.
A strong background of successful home management is essential, Previous experience in a Learning Disability service provider setting is desirable, along with experience and knowledge in supporting people with Autism and behaviours that challenge.
You should also be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the key business activities associated with a registered care home. A proven track record of confident relationships with Local Authorities and managing a service that is closely monitored is highly desirable. The successful applicant will have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of external expectations associated with managing a specialist service. You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise your workload. It is also important that you are able to adapt well to change and meet tight deadlines whilst delivering a quality service.

A team player with good energy and a ‘we can do’ approach to service provision would be an ideal candidate for this post.
You will have experience of managing a team of people and possess the necessary skills to designate work activities to members of the team.
