Our client has a brand new service due to open at the end of March with the first person moving in then, based in Stratford and is less than a 5 minute walk away from the local bus & train stations.
The service is brand new and will be supporting 4 young adults who need to improve their independent life skills to enable them to eventually move into an even more independent living environment. The service therefore will be teaching them life skills such as finance management, cooking, social skills etc. Once they move on, the staff will also still support them but more on a key working basis where they may only need support a couple of hours a day rather than 24/7. It’s an exciting time to join the team due to being involved with the recruitment of the new staff team, transitions for the people we will be supporting and assisting with the overall set up of the new service.
The Service Manager also will, long term, take over another support service in future.
Please note there is no parking on site or within the local area.
Essential: Experience supporting people with learning disabilities & challenging behaviours, 2 years minimum of managing a service/staff team within social care such as a supported living service, to be flexible and able to work shifts as required.
Desirable: Experience teaching life skills/working in a transitional service and experience opening a new service.
