and Purpose of the Service Design Analyst:
Following my client’s adoption of the ITIL framework in 2012, the department is keen to further embed ITIL best practice across all process areas, including those falling within the Service Design sphere.
Job Scope of the Service Design Analyst:
*Service Design analysis and support for my clients Services.
*A key part of this role will be the assessment of any remedial work that may be needed on services that are already live.
Principal Accountabilities of the Service Design Analyst:
*Assess current live services to determine the levels of service support arrangements that are in place and how well documented these are. Work to close out any gaps identified in current support provision, including create / update of any underpinning arrangements with key provider organisations.
*Status monitoring and tracking of Service Acceptance Criteria for new/modified GHO IT Services in conjunction with my clients Project Managers and production of related documentation.
*Production, reviewing, updating of Service level Agreements (SLAs), Operating Level Agreements (OLAs) and Underpinning Contracts (UCs), Support Models and related documentation.
Core Competences Required of the Service Design Analyst:
*Significant experience in IT Service Design, Transition and Operation, in particular production and maintenance of SLAs/OLAs/UCs/Service Support Plans, service reporting, supporting transition of new/modified IT Services into operation and implementation of Service Improvement Plans.
*ITIL v3 qualified
*Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members, immediate peer group and senior managers
*Experience of working in 24/7/365 IT Service Organisation supporting a global business.
*Experience in working with users, customers and suppliers.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
*Flexible in approach and working patterns as required.
*Creative and solution driven. Looks for ways to make things happen as opposed to reasons why they can’t be done.
*Able to maintain composure and professionalism in pressurised, stressful and uncertain situations.
