My client, a bodyshop in Bristol are looking for an outstanding Senior Workshop Controller to tactically manage and control the production planning department ensuring that all the key performance targets are met departmentally and make an effective contribution to the achievement of the overall site targets.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be a self motivated individual capable of managing to tight deadlines.
Applicants will need to demonstrate extensive industry experience with the ability to self motivate in order to achieve both individual and collective targets.
Key Areas of Focus;
Record real time and accurate entry of all absence, training, holidays. Ensure detail of sickness and type of training recorded.
Ensure all quality Q I checks are completed.
Monitor and review sold hours for previous week. Apply corrective actions where applicable.
Achieving workshop targets in line with plans while monitoring & auditing Repair Vs Replace to meet site plan.
Collate RFT (Right First Time) information for Site Manager.
Organize all sub contract work ensuring all signed in and permit to work completed.
Complete job pack audits. Random sample job packs and implement any remedial actions to address shortfalls.
Apply effective resource planning in line with targets.
Control de-fleet c/cars repairs.
Control trucks repair and servicing to schedule
1 to 1s planning and delivery all w/shop staff and techs undertaken, performance capability issues addressed in line with process.
Conduct Comms. cell meeting (Tool box talks), completing and progressing 3 C’s internal measurement record.
Previous Experience & Skills;
Strong man management ethos with the ability to introduce and utilise push & pull management methodology
Ability to listen to issues and articulate measured responses
Demonstrate good analytical skills in order to review data and make informed decisions for the good of the business.
Ability to qualify and quantify repairs required and preferred technical qualifications
Ability to negotiate effectively with third parties.
Ability to maintain personal technical knowledge and skills including SMART repairs
In effect, they are looking for somebody who can run the site when the site manager is away for any reason and keep it at least on an even keel.
22 days hols plus bank holidays, profit share, company pension scheme
Monday to Friday + Saturdays on a rota
Permanent – Immediate start.
