Senior Therapeutic Care Worker

Pendle Personnel are now recruiting enthusiastic, committed, reliable and proactive Senior Therapeutic Care Workers to provide support with day to day needs, recreational activities and to provide high quality intensive therapeutic care to young people (CSE) in a Therapeutic Residential Children’s Home, located in the Rossendale Valley between Bacup and Rawtenstall. They will also provide support to the Registered Manager and provide experienced support and supervision to Therapeutic Care Workers.

The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate, and share, positive personal values, understand the impact of disorganised attachment, complex trauma and dissociation. You will promote the highest standards of care, safeguarding and have good knowledge of Children’s homes legalisation and quality care standards. You will work consistently to inspire and ensure that all young people in the Therapeutic Residential Children’s Home are able to fulfil and achieve their individual targeted outcomes. Key worker responsibilities will be part of the role which will provide assistance and support within the therapeutic setting.

We require 2 FULL (37.5Hrs) Senior Therapeutic Care Workers Qualified to Level 3 (NVQ/QCF – Level 3 or Diploma – Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.)

An enhanced DBS, registration to the update service and references will be required for all posts. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, IT skills, and a mature, calm approach to the working environment.

Full Induction training, mandatory training and continuous professional development will be provided for all employees. Experience of working in a similar setting is vital due to the nature of the Therapeutic Care setting.

All shifts available working on a rota based system, which include sleep-ins, waking nights, days, evenings and weekends. Flexibility to work evenings and alternate weekends is essential. A full driving licence, valid in the U.K., and access to a vehicle is essential. Due to legislation minimum age requirements for staff is 22 years and above.
