Shotton, Flintshire, commutable from Chester, Ellesmere Port, Wrexham, Liverpool, Birkenhead

Our client is part of one of the worlds top ten steel producers. The combined Group has an aggregate crude steel capacity of more than 28 million tonnes and approximately 80,000 employees across four continents.
The Senior Structural and Development Engineer role exists to both manage the research and development program for ComFlor and to provide in depth theoretical and practical knowledge of composite steel and concrete design to consulting engineers and contractors. You will become a world leading expert in composite steel and concrete design.
You will supervise and manage of testing at external research facilities, the analysis of data and introduction of new developments into the ComFlor software, as well as providing a key support role to ensure the successful specification of ComFlor by Structural Engineers and Contractors.
We are looking for a personable and skilled engineer, with commercial awareness educated to degree level in civil or structural engineering, coupled with experience gained either in engineering practise or manufacturer to the construction industry.
The following would be desirable but not essential: Experience in steel and concrete composite design to EC3 and EC4, a member of a chartering body, Eurocode experience, Project management / product development experience.
