An exciting opportunity for a SQL Server DBA has arisen for an ambitious individual to work with a global giant in the world of business acquisition and finance. With the companies huge growth of new acquisitions and massive influx of new data, a switched-on DBA with strong attention to detail is needed to bring their systems up to speed. The SQL Server DBA must be very process orientated and ready to get into the nitty gritty of the organisations database and make order of the chaos.

The SQL Server DBA will be brought into a highly active environment as the company are about to migrate from SQL 2008 to an early implementation of SQL Server 2016. The DBA will be planning, implementing and supporting all of the database systems as well as collaborating closely with the development team to target issues embedded deep in the databases.

Key experiences:
Data migration across SQL Server 2008/2014
SSIS
SSRS
Experience with SQL Server tasks as replication, log shipping and mirroring
Strong understanding of production support

Preferable experience:
Data Warehousing
Knowledge of clustering
