They are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer on a contract basis to join the software development team based in Hastings to advance Data Links avionics software products. Initially this role will be with a team starting a new development cycle of a Tactical Processor mission system. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the development and verification of avionics software to DO-178B standards.

Key responsibilities:

The key responsibilities for the role will include:

*Requirements analysis using DOORS and UML
*Design using UML
*Implementation using Ada and C
*Verification
*Controlled configuration

Key skills and experience:

The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following:

*Data Links experience
*Be able to demonstrate understanding of Link 16 standards, Data Links terminals and equipment, and competence in SW implementation programmes in the domain
*DOORS requirements capture
*UML analysis and design
*Ada and C languages
*Embedded software
*Link 16 domain knowledge
*Software Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalent
*Team worker

*ARINC 664p7/AFDX
*BSP/driver development
*Subversion
*CEng accreditation
