Job Description
-
To monitor and quality assure the delivery and management of a high-quality learning programme with a nurturing approach, to pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education or who are non-attenders.

To have overall responsibility for promoting the interests and well-being of pupils in accordance with good practice and with the policies and procedures.

To have overall responsibility for establishing and maintaining the quality and standards of educational and pastoral provision for all pupils.

To always represent the school positively by reflecting its mission statement, core philosophy and ethos and by reflecting and promoting good Special Educational Needs practice.

To work collaboratively with the Deputy Head and School Support Team to ensure positive outcomes in all areas for all pupils.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The successful teacher will plan, prepare and deliver all aspects of teaching and learning using the support and guidance of the school support team. You will need to be able to differentiate curriculum delivery with a particular emphasis on nurture approaches / teaching styles while devising schemes of work, lesson plans and thematic projects that reflect a nurturing approach.
A huge part of the schools success is from their supportive team and having everyone work in the same direction and the use of positive reinforcement as a key behaviour management tool. Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Minimum of five years qualified teaching experience, at least three of which are in the primary sector (desirable)
Evidence of ongoing professional development in education
Advanced Teacher Status (desirable)
SEND qualifications or training (desirable)
NPQML or NPQSL (desirable)
