Senior SAN Administrator – Storage Area Network

* Role: Senior SAN Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Senior Storage to join our fast paced, multi-channel environment. The SAN Administrator will have responsibility for Storage Engineering and Architecture projects as well as Storage Administration and BAU Support.

Responsibilities for the SAN Administrator:

* Design and maintain the Storage Area Network and data protection protocols and processes.
* Maintenance of the high availability storage platform, delivering fit for purpose solutions for new and existing services taking into account IOP’s RPO, RTO, sizing and any wider requirements.
* Designing storage solutions to meet the requirements of new and existing services.
* Maintenance of knowledge surrounding relevant technologies, sourcing and selecting storage technologies to make recommendations for potential use within the organisation.
* Management of storage performance and system analysis with emphasis on growth and capacity planning.
* Implementing and managed Brocade switches.
* Responsible for DR mirror site storage replications

Experience required for the SAN Administrator:

* Extensive experience with the following technologies: HP EVA and EMC Clarion, EMC VPLEX, EMC VNX, Brocade SAN switches, HP Data Protector, Windows 2008 servers, Hyper V or VMware
* Extensive experience of storage configuration, maintenance and support in a VMware environment.
* Knowledge and experience of synchronous and asynchronous replication
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
