As a Senior Risk Analyst you will be joining a large and multifaceted risk team with lots of scope to progress and develop your skills.

The client is has strong roots in Wales and has spent the last 3 years investing heavily into a finance & risk function right in the heart of the Capital City.
Description
As the Senior Risk Analyst you would be involved:
- Develop new credit risk strategies – for example auto decision strategies, lending policies and collection strategies.
- Review, analyse and enhance existing credit risk strategies.
- Design, maintain and disclose credit strategy monitoring frameworks & controls, e.g. auto-decision, policy exceptions, DLAs, risk scorecards.
- Support in the development of retail credit scoring models and scorecards.
- Support in the alignment of retail policies
- Assist with the implementation of risk strategies, models and policies into production.
- Independently validate or evaluate analysis or strategies produced by others / external parties.
- Support the Credit Strategy team, Country Risk teams, Finance, Pricing and other teams as appropriate with technical analytical expertise and consultancy.
- Ensure on-going adherence to all relevant compliance regulations that may govern the business and complete all regulatory knowledge training, where applicable.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:

University degree in quantitative or finance related subjects (Engineering, Finance, Maths, Statistics, Economics or related) or equivalent.

Analytical experience, preferably in retail risk management within the banking / financial services industry, or similar.

Background in credit score development, credit risk modelling & strategies, auto decision strategies, retail underwriting policy management, reporting, collection strategies, loss forecasting all beneficial.

Competent in the use of SAS / WPS (Base, Macros), Tableau and MS Excel.

Functional use of MS Office; use of Visual Basic is beneficial.
Job Offer
The successful Senior Risk Analyst will:
- Be Based in South Wales, Cardiff
- Received £27,000- £32,000 DOE
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
