Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £42 – £54 per hour

£42 – £54 Million new build steel portal frame building for the construction of a new build food factory which is built on a full turnkey process. Reporting to the senior management team your main duties and responsibilities will be to take the commercial lead for the project which will involve the procurement for a full compliment of subcontract packages including the selection of subcontractors and attendance at post tender and pre contract meetings, upon appointment of subcontractors you will also be responsible for the issuing of payments upon satisfactory completion of work and then the completing of final accounts. Other duties will include undertaking monthly CVR’s along with a final forecast reports which would be reported and submitted to the company directors. You would also be responsible for assisting with any design cost control, attending design team meetings, preparation of change orders to client and agreement, including monitoring with the Project Director on any programme/delay issues arising from change/variations and if need be for the preparation of claims for extensions of time.

An understanding of both JCT and NEC Form of contract will be an essential requirement as without this no application will be considered if you haven’t had previous/current experience working with it

Both permanent and freelance individuals will be considered for this position it will specifically be a site based role but may involve head office meetings/visits
