Senior Planner – Building

Our client is a large main contractor with a network of offices UK wide and a track record in delivering major landmark construction projects across the UK.

They are seeking a Senior Planner to carry out both tender and project planning duties for larger value schemes in the following sectors; commercial, industrial, leisure, residential, healthcare, education and retail.

The main tasks of the role would include:

• Responsibility for the production of Tender programmes based on the most economical construction period and taking into account the client’s required timescale
• Determining critical/key logic when producing tender/construction programme
• Attending tender settlement meeting to present scheme
• Presenting scheme at Pre-qualification/ Post Tender interview with client
• Carry out site visits and prepare site visit reports
• Actively seek to differentiate bids by identifying opportunities for innovation, value engineering etc.
• Support the development of the construction programme on live projects

Candidate requirements:

• You must have demonstrable experience gained as a planner or senior planner with a main contractor, working on schemes of £10m+
• Knowledge of tender planning is required and experience of working on varied schemes in multiple sectors would be very useful
• Good IT Literacy
• Excellent communication skills
