Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Commercial – Data Centre

Description

One of the market leaders in the M&E contractor Sector we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with commercial experience to join their rapidly growing team in Aldgate.

THE COMPANY

• Very well-established M&E Sub contractor that also offers excellent project management and innovative development within design.
• Specialists in commercial fitouts, education, and data centre projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working closely with the in-house estimating team.
• Responsible for completion of detailed design work.
• Overseeing design drafts and drawings (stages 5-6) from consultants.
• The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be providing mechanical installations in stages 5 and 6 in the project design.
• Working individually and with confidence on design, on occasion reporting to the Associate Mechanical Engineer.
• Happy to work in the office and/or on site 5 days a week.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

• The Senior Mechanical Engineer will have 4-6 years of experience as a mechanical engineer.
• Working knowledge of UK standards.
• Ideally Chartered or on the way to gaining CEng status through a recognised industry body such as CIBSE or IMechE.
