Senior Logistics Coordinator

A specialist supply chain logistics and trade compliance provider is recruiting for a Senior Logistics Co-ordinator to be based at its office near Heathrow.

Summary of the role;
•Organizing the best means of transporting goods for local and international clients, using all modes of transport including road, rail, sea and air.
•Develop relationships with current and prospect customers,

Primary Job Duties:
•Investigate on and provide solutions & rate for international transportation door-to-door
•Negotiate services & rates with carriers
•Make booking with carriers
•Issue transportation documents/ instructions
•Maintain full control over shipments in transit
•Understand the Import/Export for AIR/SEA/ROAD process/documentations
•To make sure that all import/export transactions of the nominated country are done safely without any legal risk, in accordance with company procedures and memorandums, with minimum cost and maximum speed; 
•To plan and organize the local transportation and distribution operations in the related country within optimum time and minimum costs
•Monitor international inbound and outbound orders 
•Client relationship building – assist to develop business from existing and new customers
•Obtain, check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packaging specifications, and compliance with overseas countries’ regulations and fiscal regimes 
•Liaise with third parties in accordance with the customer’s requirements
•Maintain visibility and control through all phases of the journey, including the production management reports, statistical and unit cost analyst 
•Complete customs formalities or sub-contracting services 
•Provide advice on the most commercially viable method of transporting goods 
•Work closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines 
•Check and timely manage invoices out and in 

Salary: £31,200 – £32,400
