Our clients based in Medway are looking for an senior landscaper/urban designer to take responsibility for specific strategic landscaping projects.
Skills needed:
*Ability to initiate and develop landscape and urban design based project
*Design flare
*Good analytical skills as applied to the assessment of existing area’s and to proposed developments
*Project management
*Strong graphic representation skills (manual and computer)
*Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
*Computer literacy including the use of Microsoft office and GIS applications and preferably graphics applications
*Ability to plan and organise work effectively
Personal Qualities:
*Ability to work with different individuals, agencies and professionals in a practical and constructive way and communicate in a sensitive and considerate manor
*Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
*Commitment to personal development
*Commitment to raising the quality of the built environment
*Confidence in leading workshops
Knowledge:
*Thorough knowledge of legislative and policy framework and best practice relating to landscape and design matters
*Thorough knowledge of landscape and urban design relating to new developments, existing buildings and spaces
Qualifications:
*Academic or professional qualification in landscape architecture
*Membership of an appropriate professional body
