Senior Java Developer

Role Purpose:
As a member of the web development team, this person will be responsible for developing functionality to support the key products across our range of brands and electronic distribution channels.

Requirements:
Experience of working with enterprise development sites.
Understanding of working in an Agile environment.
A solid understanding of OOAD techniques and UML.
A solid understanding of Design Patterns.
A solid grasp of behaviour driven software testing techniques.
Solid understanding of REST and MVC driven web frameworks.
Development Service-oriented architectures Core Spring (DI), Spring WS, Spring MVC, Spring Webflow, Spring AOP, JAXWS, JAXB
Solid grasp of Servlet containers and the Servlet API (Apache Tomcat preferable) XML, XSD, SOAP, JSON
Knowledge of Javascript, AJAX (desirable) View Layer Technologies: JSP (JSTL, EL), Templating engines (velocity, tiles) Unit testing: JUnit (preferable), Mock objects (Mockito,
Easy Mock), BDD frameworks (e.g. cucumber)
An understanding of Code Metrics and Code Coverage (Sonar, PMD, CPD, Emma, JaCoCo, Cobertura, Checkstyle) Magnolia CMS or experience of interfacing with CMS systems (preferable) Eclipse IDE Hibernate (preferable) Portlets (preferable)
Experience of other JVM languages (Groovy, Scala, preferable) SQL, NoSQL
Strong core Java skills
