Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £30 – £42 per hour

Their objective to become a full 100% Cloud technology business in the next 36 months. As part of this exciting and ambitious plan they are going to need to build a team of incredible engineers and give them the support, development and training to get the job done. Here is a bit more about the role.

Working in a broad hands-on role supporting an evolving technical IT infrastructure
Covering desktop support and network/infrastructure work.

Working closely with the Data centre operation team to fine tune critical systems
Being the Technical Lead for Infrastructure based services
Participating in Service Design sessions where technical requirements are captured and documented by the IT Infrastructure Team
2nd/ 3rd line Infrastructure Support
Windows Server administration 2003-2019
Microsoft 365 administration, including Teams, Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive
Implementing and supporting Azure services, such as AAD, SSO, Intune, MFA and Conditional Access
Providing technical support to tickets raised through IT service desk for all software and hardware issues, work closely with Service desk and knowledge share
Developing and maintaining high quality support documentation
Responsible for the security, resilience, backup and monitoring of infrastructure
Representing the Infrastructure services in Change Advisory Board meetings, daily and weekly Service Review meetings
Responsible for fostering a practice of collaboration and continuous improvement within and outside of the Infrastructure team
Supporting the business needs on an out of hours support rota and enhanced hours during peak periods

We are looking for individuals with experience in:-

Virtualisation (VMWare)
Cloud Technologies such as AWS and Azure
MDM, Intune, Apple Business manager, Android technologies
Active Directory Management DHCP, Group Policies, DNS
Experience of supporting server operating systems 2003-2019
Supporting and developing M365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange
Storage Area Networks (SAN or NAS)
ITIL incident, problem and change management
Ability for travel to other sites in the UK
Anti-Virus and end user security
