Senior IT Desktop Support Technician – up to £36,000base salary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the world’s leading provider of professional, hi-tech alarm systems, a company with a multinational presence. They have c. 2 million across multiple countries. Our client is looking to recruit a Senior IT Support Technician to work within their Chiswick (London) office. The successful individual will be the sole IT point in the UK.

Skills / Environment
Standard Microsoft Windows desktop environment (some Windows Server-side support too)
Active Directory(admin and basic trouble-shooting)
Microsoft Exchange (admin and basic trouble-shooting)
Firewalls (set-up/monitoring)
Telecommunication systems management
eTools diagnostics / debugging
Hardware inventory / procurement

Role Overview
This role will involve the successful individual predominantly delivering support to the UK user base within the Chiswick office, consisting of c.35 users. The position requires the resolution of computer based issues within the office, with the need to report on consumption and cost. Whilst supporting the installation and configuration of various hardware components. In addition, creating and managing users on relevant IT systems.

The ideal candidate should be someone who has proven IT support experience, with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask. The individual should possess a strong technical background; programming skills (SQL / Java / HTML) would be positively valued, but not mandatory.

With a 4 week training course being conducted in Sweden and Spain.
