About the Job

As a Senior IT Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing our change agenda with one or more of our market leading technology clients within Unipart’s Logistic Technology IT Function. You will work as part of a delivery team consisting of other Delivery Managers, Developers, and our Test team.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:

  • Lead the IT Delivery of changes for one or more large technology clients
  • Be point of contact for the various stakeholders in the change, including but not limited to our internal IT team, commercial team, client commercial teams, client IT teams
  • Mitigate risks associated with Client Delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Manage the change road map, ensuring all change requests are delivered to plan and quality
  • Prioritise workload for the development and testing resources allocated to the client
  • Manage the IT costs ensuring timesheet completion is completed on time and accurately and that we are charging the correct costs to the client at the agreed budgets
  • Manage project forecast submissions, monitoring actuals to ensure financial accuracy
  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets related to IT client delivery operations
  • Ensure cost-effective resource allocation and budget adherence
  • Manage and control cost across the portfolio of clients
  • Work with the other IT Delivery Managers to manage conflicts in change delivery and drive best practice
  • Work with the Test Lead and Development teams to drive continuous improvement of change in the organisation
  • Work with Operational and UAT teams to ensure successful delivery of changes
  • Communicate with stakeholders, providing business operational risk explanations of the consequences of Delivery approaches and findings
  • Managing the pipeline of change demand ensuring this is satisfied from the internal team of resources
  • Lead the release planning meetings for multiple platforms and change releases and prepare and publish release notes and communicates success
  • Line management of one or more Junior IT Delivery Managers
  • Deputise for the Head of IT Client Delivery

About You

  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
  • Experience of working in a logistics environment
  • Strong project management experience ideally gained within an IT role
  • Strong Stakeholder management – able to demonstrate managing both internal and external (client) stakeholders
  • Experience of JDA WMS products
  • Prince 2 practitioner or equivalent
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, IoT, and data analytics
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives
  • Solid understanding of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
