Senior Internal Auditor

Salary: £33.6 per hour

Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Internal Auditor on a 5 months contract with a possibility of an extension.

Main purpose of post

The post holder will work closely with the Internal Audit Manager to manage the delivery of a high quality internal audit Service. Supporting the Internal Audit Manager with the day to day management of the In House Team, undertaking a programme of pro-active audits and reactive audits, and ensure recommendations are implemented accordingly.

Responsibilities

Experience of managing staff and complex situations, using clear judgement to advise others to do the same
Ability to analyse and prioritise complex and potentially conflicting demands, understand and absorb information and resolve problems. Require highly developed co-ordination, time management and prioritisation skills to enable the post-holder to achieve plans and objectives in a timely and organised manner
Ability to analyse and solve problems with an appreciation of possible longer-term implications
Ability to attend to details, quality minded with a flexible and positive approach to tasks
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written work.
Ability to communicate effectively face to face, over the telephone and in writing.
Ability to keep clear records and complete timesheets

Experience of working in a local authority internal audit service in last five years.
Experience in conducting resident management organisation audits
Experience in conducting school audits
Experience in overseeing the delivery of audits by team members.
