A large global company with a UK office based in Crewe is recruiting a Senior Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. The main function of the role is to provide support and finance expertise surrounding all aspects of supply chain and operations finance. The role is ideally suited to someone who has excellent analytical skills combined with strong stakeholder communication skills.

Attributes required:

• Previous experience as a Finance Analyst or Cost Accountant – Essential
• Strong knowledge of MS packages, especially Excel – Essential
• Ability to work in a high pressured and fast paced environment – Essential
• Previous experience working in either a manufacturing or distribution business – Ideal

Responsibilities:

• Be the financial partner to the local operations leaders to help drive operational effectiveness while expanding best in class capabilities
• Responsible for leading and performing cost accounting and financial analysis related to labour, freight and warehouse spend
• Handle financial planning and budgeting of operations costs
• Provide periodic financial reports, including operational performance metrics, and overhead cost management
• Perform analytical reviews of financial information to identify trends and opportunities
• Recommend improvements to drive cost efficiencies in balance with operational needs and capabilities
• Prepare cost benefit models for new capex projects
