Location: Multi-site-based role covering the Northern region – commutable locations to Normanton and Alfreton

About the Job

Working within our NHS Supply Chain team, you will carry out multi-site facilities and service tasks for all relevant sites in line with General Manager / Operational Excellence Manager and Facilities department requirements.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:

  • Support Head of FM and Unipart Projects Team for operational delivery of all BAU and Transformation Projects
  • Be the subject matter expert for the sites in relation to all facilities related issues
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Warehouse and operational Health and Safety compliance ( i.e. First Aid, Fire Safety, Co-ordination, Communication), facilities administration and training records
  • FM accountability of all Warehouse, Racking, MHE Eqpt, Hard and Soft Services (FM) HVAC, PPM,
  • Cleaning, Catering and Engineering Insurance Inspections
  • Be the initial point of escalation for facilities queries through to resolution, lessons learned etc
  • Act as liaison point for Site stakeholders in all relevant aspects of reactive, PPM and disruptive works in line with business priorities
  • Manage the Facilities services contract audit regime ( i.e. Catering, Cleaning, PPM)
  • Collate and analyse data to improve service delivery to the site. Production of reporting and MI
  • Be an ambassador for Unipart Logistics Facilities Dept. and the wider Services team
  • Carry out documented Health and Safety Inspections of the site and facilities and follow through on remedial actions
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work – carry out duties over and beyond those listed above as per UL business/Project requirements
  • Support GM and OEM with monthly Quality and Compliance Audit requirements

About You

Essential:

  • Engineering/Technical qualification and/or ability to lead and manage in specialise technical areas in a Warehouse environment
  • Solid experience of multi-site FM and Health and Safety challenges
  • Ability to be flexible with travel between sites and keen to learn with a creative approach
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles of best practices, proactive risk management and Health and Safety competency into a work environment
  • Fully conversant with Risk Assessment and remedial actions (RAMS)
  • Project Management attributes – Strong planning, organising and time management skills – able to balance priorities, work to deadlines, and under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially via email and telephone
  • Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically
  • Customer focus – will give excellent customer service and take accountability for proactively resolving issues
  • Unafraid to challenge practice / process and people to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement – ability to influence events rather than passively accept them
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload effectively in a multi-site environment
  • Tech Savvy – IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
