Senior Estimator

Salary: £50,400 – £60,000 per year

Senior Estimator – is required to join and take control of our small but well-established team in Basingstoke. We are specialists with vast experience across the UK and service our clients who reside in many sector types. We provide

minor works (BAU) to major building infrastructures. Works can include simply fit-out upgrades to major new build works.

We are a CommScope Premier Partner and provide solutions from other similar / complimentary suppliers and have very long-standing relationships with infrastructure channels i.e., Excel, Leviton, Huber & Suhner, Panduit, Anixter-

Wesco, Mayflex

This role is required to lead and manage the estimating and bid management team. Ensuring processes are followed, bid / no bid decisions are taken, and competitive, profitable bids submitted. Project values will range from BAU low thousand values to higher end £500,000 to £2 million which are for data infrastructure and associated other technologies.

Senior Estimator Position Overview

• Manage all RFQ /Tender pipeline estimating and quote preparedness in the medium/short term
• Manage the central library of supporting information for bids and the Bidding process overall.
• Lead Bids, developing and implementing winning bid strategies – and providing the operations Project Managers with
• the support they need where required to implement the works to conclusion. Variation orders and the associated
• estimates is a part of the overview.
• Provide estimating guidance to Project Management teams on submitting successful technical supporting information.
• Liaise with the CAD Manager where appropriate to obtain data to support bid and variation order estimates.
• Ensure tenders are evaluated and tender action plans prepared in line with the Bid strategy, estimating guidelines and
• directives on margin and cost and are submitted to deadlines.
• Coordinate the team to work in collaboration with colleagues from across the business preparing and submitting
• accurately costed and competitive bids.
• Participate with clients during tender/bid stage to ascertain required info and cross check data to ensure correct estimate and bid is executed

Senior Estimator Position Requirements

• At least 5-10 years commercial experience including competitive estimating and bid management
• CNIDP and/or RCDD qualifications (or equivalent) preferred
• Knowledge of company brands as above a distinct advantage
• Involvement in infrastructure projects in the construction industry, ideally in construction
• A team player in a small but focused unit/company
• Experienced in leading and developing a diverse team including managing performance and skills development
• Good Office 365 (or equivalent skills) especially Excel
• Understanding of CAD principals / drawings (company uses Autodesk Auto Cad AEC)
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Senior Estimator Position Remuneration

• Salary range £50,400 – £60,000
