Senior Environmental Manager

Salary: £102,000 – £108,000 per year

This multi-disciplinary principal contractor seeks a proactive and determined Senior Environmental Manager to perform the role of Head of Environmental; who can continue to promote and drive through an already positive Environmental and sustainability strategy.

Home based in the East Midlands region you will be involved in leading strategy and provide ‘hands on’ support to Operational Teams in implementing process and change management.

The role reports to the HSEQ Director and will involve travel to sites across the UK.

Essential Requirements are:

* You MUST have performed the role of Environmental Manager for a significant Principal contractor in the UK

* Degree educated with an Environmental or related qualification

* Membership of IEMA or ICRS

* NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent

* Achievement success record of working with complex construction build or civil engineering projects

* Effective leadership skills: ability to drive through change and objectives and negotiate positive conclusions

* People Management experience

* Experience of working with design and build teams for optimum environmental efficiency

* Strong analytical and reporting skills

* Rigorous approach to reducing carbon footprint and improve sustainability

* The ability to thrive under pressure and work to tight deadlines

* Full UK driving license

* Home location near to the East Midlands with good access to motorways and transport
