Senior Draughtsman / Technical Manager

Salary: £48,000 – £66,000 per year

Due to the companies plan of growth we are delighted to be recruiting an experienced steelwork Draughtsman / Technical Manager. Senior Draughtsman / Technical Manager duties include:

• Proving assistance and guidance to junior members of the drawing office.
• Raising and following up RFIs / TQs.
• Assisting with the planning of work through the drawing office.
• Maintaining and improving drawing office procedures as needed.
• Communicating with Engineers, Architects, Clients and other project stakeholders as needed to resolve technical issues and the like.
• Using Tekla (or advance steel) to produce accurate 3D models of various steelwork i.e. stairs, hand rails, portal frame buildings etc..

Senior Draughtsman / Technical Manager requirements:

• Solid experience working as a Draughtsman/Drawing Office Manager/Technical Manager (or similar) within the structural steelwork and/or architectural metalwork industry.
• Experience using CAD software such as Tekla or Advance Steel is highly advantageous.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Be willing to undertake a varied and dynamic role.
• Be seeking a permanent position (PAYE) and live in/within a commutable distance of Oxfordshire (OX17).
